The Opera House is one of the most memorable things you will see in Sydney only really challenged by the Harbour Bridge. I recommend the tour as it's cheap and the only way you can see inside the concert halls without paying to see a show. However if you don't want to take a tour you can see the beauty... more

My daughter and I took the tour of the Opera House last week and were disappointed. Whilst the building itself is magnificent (even if the interior is somewhat dated), the tour was rushed. The guide was a touch bossy and herded us around and issued instructions as though we were children on a school trip. The tour is not cheap,... more

I must say, we were slightly disappointed by the tour we had at the Opera House. Whilst is was amazing to see inside the building (we didn't see a show), we felt that the tour was a little rushed. It was advertised as an hour long tour, but it was more like 55 minutes - ok, not that much shorter... more

It was pretty cool! You will never foregt that you have been there! We had an excellent gay guide who showed us inside the operahouse. hehe, I'll never forget the purple room, it suited well to the guides purple tie and eyeshadow! The food was by the way excellent, and so thought the seagull;-/ more

We saw the "Barber of Seville" at the Opera House and it was a great experience. The show itself was entertaining and enjoyable and it is a wonderful experience seeing the Opera House in working order. The inside is not as spectacular as the outside, but it is worth going in just to say you did it. Even our teenagers... more

We did the short tour which was very nice and informative. They gave us a $10 coupon to see a show. We walked up to the counter and were seated right in the middle of the theatre. We had just learned that these were the prime seats on the tour. People are right about seeing a show is the best... more

We went on the Opera House tour which was so interesting to hear the history of how it was designed and built. Did you know the architect has never seen it finished other than in photos! The whole experience was so memorable and the halls are beautiful. Well worth the tour to make your trip to Sydney a memorable one. more

Travelled to Sydney a few years ago and I absolutely love this city. The opera house is out of this world and standing outside, we almost felt compelled to go inside. The tour price was reasonable and you are shown around by an interesting well informed guide. We were holidaying in Brisbane and only went to Sydney on the spur... more

I was in Sydney and wanted to experience a show at the Opera House. The only thing available at the time was the Australian Ballet's Swan Lake. Having grown up going to the New York City Ballet, I did not expect much. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised. This was a modern adapted version of Swan Lake. A relief from the... more

My husband who is an Aussie has never done an Opera House tour, so on our trip to Sydney (just before Christmas) we thought we should take a tour and see the inside instead of just the outside, which we have done many times in the past. We also had family travelling with us and it was their first time... more
