The taxi driver at the airport laughed when we told him where we wanted to be taken which made me think oh crap! Once there I could not be more happy with the place. The locals are friendly and accepting of visitors, the food was great (veggies may not share this view) but it was the nightlife that I like... more

Be aware of Long Street after dark. I have many friends in Capetown, and have spent a lot of time in the city and surrounding areas. Long Street is like the red light district at night, and is not a place I would recommend for tourists or non-locals. more

i went to longstreet with 4 other people yet still i felt unsafe the locals are very intimidating and 2 be honest i cudnt wait to leave, we all went for a meal and i have 2 say for a place where i got the most delicious meals in the world longstreet was terrible. i advise not to go there... more
