We have 3 children, 7, 5, 2 and this was just as amazing for them as the sears tower. Same great view with out all the crowds. Our oldest daughter even enjoyed the audio tour that is a part of the chicago city pass. The outdoor part was their favorite and they couldn't believe how windy it was! more

After going to the top of Sears Tower, we decided to check out the Observatory at The Hancock, we were extremely impressed. The view in my opinion is nicer than that of the Sears tower because of the incredible view of Lake Michigan, on a clear day you can see all the way across. There are markings on the windows... more

One of my fave things to do in any city is to view if from the top. The Hancock tower is a good place to do this as you can take a pic with the Sears Tower in the background. This is a very good "tour". more

I was torn between the Hancock Center or the Sear Tower and the only reason I pick the Hancock is that is was closer to my hotel and with in walking distance. But I was not disapointed in my decision. The tickets were pretty pricey but you are in Chicago and I belive there are coupons or other discounts avalible... more

There were no queues when we went, and the ride up was fast. I liked it better than the Sears tower. We had the CityPass and so we also got the audio tour free. I could have spent hours up there but my stomach told me it was time to eat and so we went to basement to the Cheesecake... more

Beautiful view of the city and Lake Michigan---but the elevator ride is small, crowded and enclosed (NO windows!). At $12 each-I wouldn't go back without a buy 1 get 1 free coupon from AAA. more

For fantastic views of the city, go to the restuarant situated above the observatory floor. They do very good lunch time food at very reasonable rates. A friend who lives in Chicago suggested that we go to the bar on the 95th floor of the John Hancock tower. So, instead of paying $10 bucks or so for just a view at the observation deck there or at the Sears Tower, we could pay $10 for a drink and a view. We ended up going Friday night.... more
