An amazing honeymoonGood price and location but unfortunately there is quite a serious bed bug problem. For this reason alone I would not stay here again or recommend it. more
The dorms are in the basement, one female dorm and one male dorm. No windows, a bit damp. It was smelly when you first enter the dorm, but after you turn on the air-conditioner for a while, it was OK. Curtains for beds were shown in their website, but there was none, only hooks where curtains used to be (if... more
I stayed 6 nights in Sakura Hotel by myself. It was very difficult for me to pick a hotel as Tokyo is such an enourmous place but I liked Sakura's website and the price was right for a budget traveler like myself. I arrived Tokyo by train from Nagoya, and getting around first with a big backbag in July heat... more
The Sakura Hotel, Jimbocho is an excellent budget hotel. It is really cheap for Tokyo and although the rooms are quite small they are functional and spotlessly clean. The bed size wasn't really a problem for us and we're quite tall. The hotel staff were friendly and all seemed to have good English, which is handy. The front desk is... more
Hello! Having stayed at Sakura Hotel on numerous occasions I can recommend it to travelers the world over! The place is cheaper than the ladies of Shinjuku, and that's pretty cheap for Tokyo! The rooms are clean with a daily wake up call by their friendly cleaning staff who barge into your room unannounced while you are lying naked in... more
Great budget hotel in a central location in Tokyo. Rooms cover anything from singles to group dorms and everything is very clean and neat. Decent showers, English speaking staff and no curfew. There's also free tea and breakfast. A good base to explore the city. more
My husband and I spent a great week staying at the Sakura Hotel in Tokyo. It's great value for money in Tokyo terms. Be cautious if you like a lot of space though, because the rooms are very compact. The staff are very friendly, the rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and tidy, and the location is fantastic - it's... more
This place is just what a budget traveller to Tokyo needs. Its cheap, the rooms are basic but perfect for the traveller, and the recepetion desk in manned 24 hours with the most helpful people. Specifically Nori who gave us great advice on our stay in Tokyo. Its location in Jimbocho is great too as you are close to the... more
We stayed here for our last night in Japan. The staff was very helpful and accomodated us for an early check in. They were also very helpful with directions and for information. The room was spacious, but stank of stale smoke. Beds were comfortable, 4 bunks in a private room. Bedding was included but if you want a towel its... more
What I was most impressed about this hotel was the friendly staff who always went beyond their duties to make my stay as wonderful as possible. They were most helpful with directions, and general information, and even printed out a map from the internet for us! This is much more than I expected from any hotel front staff, esp. having... more
