This is a lovely hotel, great location, on a lovely beach, near good restaurants ect- staff were friendly and really helpful, cleaners came in every day and cleaned room, changed towels, there are guards on the beach (doesn't feel like you need them) but meant we left our stuff on the beach without worrying about our cameras, ect as we... more

Have just returned from a holiday here with old school friend. We visited the South Coast of Barbados last year and had a great time. Am pleased to say that this year's holiday was even better. As some travellers report there are some slightly tired features to the hotel: the odd water mark on a dining room ceiling, but nothing... more

(I would give this hotel a 2 and 3/4) We recently went to Descovery Bay, when we entered the hotel we were unimpressed, the brosure states that the hotel has scuba diving, snorkerling ect. But in true fact it does not at all! In fact there is nothing to do in the hotel at all! if you wanted to water... more

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at Discovery Bay. My wife who is or holiday expert had a difficult choice to make having read the diverse comments regarding this hotel. Some good and some derogatory. We had a great time at Discovery Bay. We paid extra to stay in a beach front room (well worth it !)... more

Stayed here for 10 nights in November 2007. If you are looking for your all singing all dancing all inclusive property this NOT for you. Discovery Bay is a small laid back beachfront hotel with friendly staff. The food is fine not haute cuisine but perfectly edible. Entertainment consists of local bands coming on alternate nights singing local songs. The... more

Having read some of the previous reviews of this hotel we were very pleasantly surprised. We have travelled to Barbados many times and have stayed at Coconut Creek(knocked down and turned into flats), King's Beach and Sea Breeze and this is now our new favourite that we will be returning to again(as soon as we can arrange it!). Clearly a... more

This hotel is in a great location - very close to Holetown and only a short walk from the shops and amenities there. The hotel itself is on a very large plot, with a good amount of beach which is nice and sandy and not bad for swimming. Unfortunately, the hotel itself has seen better days - it is very... more

We stayed at the Discovery Bay over Easter 2008 - booked through Expedia. Excellent location, right on the beach with fantastic beach views and sunsets ! We chose to stay on an all inclusive basis and had a beach front room, clean and comfortable - housekeeping staff friendly and cheery, unlike some of the other staff. Waiting staff and some... more

Booked the hotel as it was fairly reasonable (all inclusive)and looked OK. Have stayed at many hotels before in Carribean and Maldives and Mauritius on beach holidays myself and my wife like nice things but are by no means fussy. Hotel looked OK as we pulled up to it. Staff on the reception were quite friendly and we had a... more
