When we arrived at Hotel Vedado it all looked very grand from the front. Inside the main foyer it was nice, however, the space was limited. We got the keys to our rooms and got the lift upstairs. We booked this hotel through a Cuban agent, hoping for a budget place to stay for our last few days of holiday. The room wasn't especially clean or pleasant to be in, but we were prepared for that. This was without doubt the worst hotel I have ever had the bad luck to stay in. Truly appalling surroundings. Rooms are horrible. Damp beds, noisy inefficient a/c, wardrobe doors that don't shut, leaking taps, rusty grotty bath. Totally disinterested staff. Swimming pool with water that doesn't look clean, complete with greasy film. Uninspiring breakfast including coffee which didn't appear... more

For a hotel in Havana with outdoor pool CUC 50 for a double seems a good price - but for not a lot more you can do better. The hotel is in a great location a short stroll from bars, restaurants, the Nacional Hotel and its bars and the famed Malecon. It does have a pool, but as it is... more
