I love this hotelito. Althoug rooms are not that big,but they nice and clean. We were living in 2 different rooms-Love and Harmony. We liked the Harmony more, becourse of the view. The Love has a hanging bed, which was a problem for my husband (it made him seasick) First 2 days the water in shower was cold, but after that was fixed. We did... more

This was our first trip to Cancun and we definitely wanted to experience the laid-back side of Isla Mujeres. Casa Ixchel was memorable, not because they're a 3 or 4 star accommodation but mainly because the service provided by the staff was remarkable. Location We wanted to get away from the crowd, so Casa Ixchel fits perfectly to our taste... more

Casa Ixchel is as charming in an idiosyncratic way as Isla Mujeres itself is. If you're attracted to the peaceful simplicity of Isla Mujeres, you'll be attracted to the elegant, peaceful simplicity of Casa Ixchel. I stayed at Ixchel toward the end of the low season when it was still quite warm. As a result, i was the only guest... more

We booked directly at the hotel and due to low season, we got a good nightly rate. This place is splendid and gave us the relaxing one week vacation that we need. The rooms have different themes and I wanted a room with a kitchen so we went with the Grace 1 for 4 nights and Abundance for our last... more

The reviews below echo our stay. We stayed for 7 nights and had booked the "love" suite. Beware-- it has a hanging bed that may be annoying if your partner gets out of bed in the middle of the night! :-) We ended up getting a room that we didn't book, but it ended up being the greatest gift -... more

Casa Ixchel was the perfect place for our girlfriend getaway to escape the never-ending Chicago winter! We stayed in Grace I, which after seeing the property, might just be the best suite! It was on the second floor, and had a small kitchen, a lounge/reading area, and great views. The only sounds that kept us awake were the ocean and... more

This is a different kind of place that caters to a specific type of traveler. The decor is beautiful and comfortable. Island tropic look and style. Highly efficient air conditioner, very comfy bed and linens. The maid service is excellent and the staff friendly. Location is a little out of the way, I walked to town once but it can... more

We stayed 3 nights and the hotel and Miguel were just wonderful. If the hot water is out, be sure to let the staff know and they'll fix it right away. The hotel is very peaceful, we could hear the ocean from our room, Bliss (some view of the ocean). The room was very clean and tiny. I recommend bringing... more

We spent the 2nd day of our honeymoon at Casa Ixchel and cannot wait to return. It was everything we expected. The first day nor easters and a tropical storm were in full force, they had apparently lost power the day prior to our arrival. They had trouble with the laundry, but we had towels that night. The pilot light... more

We booked a three night stay at the Casa Ixchel on the last leg of our Mexico trip. The room where we stayed was looking towards the water, but the room was tiny. The pictures on the website do not accurately reflect the size of the rooms. We had some problems getting the bathtub to work, and decided after a... more
