There are other hotels in the strip on the Robson Street but this one had the best combination of being affordable, perfectly located, and with some attractive hotel features. Very expensive parking. Front desk help of little use. No wireless in room, just in lobby--very slow. Internet connection in room (LAN) did not work. Food--in a word, poor. Caesar salad had some kind of mayonnaise dressing. Tea already sweetened. Forgot to bring salad. Burger was mediocre--and that's being kind. Not up to Kimpton hotel standards.
