First of all, you cannot ask for a better location that the Pacific Palisades location. Located downtown, it is easy walking to a wide variety of restaurants and shopping. And there are two Big Bus pick ups/drop offs nearby. Our room was very nice. We especially enjoyed the kitchenette area. After tiring days spent sightseeing, my husband and I opted... more

Dear lgw, Thank you so much for taking the time to post your comments on Trip Advisor. Now this hotel is renowed for the celebrities that use to stay there in the 70s and 80s. Staff were great, actually gave us an upgrade to basically a one bedroom on the 19th floor. This type of room would be ideal for families and longer stays. Bedding was heavenly and I loved the toilitries. But unfortunately that is about... more

The location is the key for this hotel. There are other hotels in the strip on the Robson Street but this one had the best combination of being affordable, perfectly located, and with some attractive hotel features. I enjoyed the swimming pool and the jacuzzi, busboys are very handy, Romina at the recept. desk was very friendly, free Starbucks coffee... more

Many of our observations were already mentioned by others, namely the overpriced parking ($25/night) and the fact that the property looks to be a lot nicer on the internet than it is in person. The hotel feels like an apartment building that has undergone mediocre renovations. The bathroom in our suite still felt dated and the chipped paint on the... more

Dear Marleygirl5, Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on Trip Advisor. I have read several comments now about our parking being overpriced and our hotel looking like an apartment building and I wanted to take the opportunity to respond to your comments. Your comments regarding our parking prices lead me to again do a comparative parking...

We stayed at the Pacific Palisades on our return from Whistler - only one night; we wished it could have been longer. It felt like we were in our own little apartment in the city with a balcony and a fabulous view of the bay - and a spectacular sunset. When we checked in we were greeted with enthusiasm and... more

Stayed in the Pacific Palisades Hotel before and after our cruise to Alaska, was so pleased with our hotel and so close to the centre of downtown Vancouver. The hotel allowed us to leave a bag until we returned which was excellent this saved us taking extra luggage which we did not need on to the cruise. The hotel staff... more

Very expensive parking. Front desk help of little use. No wireless in room, just in lobby--very slow. Internet connection in room (LAN) did not work. Food--in a word, poor. Caesar salad had some kind of mayonnaise dressing. Tea already sweetened. Forgot to bring salad. Burger was mediocre--and that's being kind. Not up to Kimpton hotel standards. I would look elsewhere. more

The staff were very welcoming to us as soon as we walked in. They explained everything to us and so we had no trouble for the rest of our stay in locating anything we needed. They also sent up non-allergic pillows to the room as soon as I requested, which was most appreciated. They also welcome pets (shame our pooch... more

This hotel is in an ideal location for downtown Vancouver and is situated on the main shopping street (Robson). The room was bright , airy and clean. The reception area modern and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We only used the hotel restaurant 'Zin' once for breakfast but it was very nice. The pool area was clean... more

We stayed at the Pacific Palisades for 6 nights in late April/early May and were very impressed with the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We even found the other guests friendly and helpful.
