Several months ago the travel agent of my company made a reservation to the downtown location at 50 John Street. When I arrived my room was not available. After waiting for 30 minutes I was told that my reservation had been previously canceled. I called my travel agent and they confirmed that according to their record I had a valid... more

We're disappointed at the guest's misstatement of facts in this case. The gentleman made his booking and then canceled it via our instant reservation module. We have proof of this. Obviously, as he didn't have a reservation, we didn't allocate the room towards his reservation. Despite the city being sold out due to a convention, our staff offered to accommodate...

Horrible night at Glen Grove. We booked 2 nights at this hotel because of the proximity to our family's apartment. Our first impressions weren't too bad. The place was a little old, but it didn't look too dirty (except for the shower), and the place seemed to be basically what we paid for. However, at night there was a huge... more

We stayed at Glen Grove Midtown with our 2 children in May 2007. As a former resident of Toronto, I know the area really well and the location is fantastic. The size of the suite was perfect for our family but there were many things about it that we found disappointing. The bathroom was most disgusting... mold on the small... more

Although this property is decently situated near shops and restaurants, the staff that works here really brings down the experience. I have never met so many unhelpful, uninspiring people. From the moment we walked in, til the day we left, we were met with apathy by just about everyone that works at the property. They need a serious overhaul of... more

Travelers beware! I made a reservation for 8 days for my visiting guests from overseas. I inspected the place and requested a quiet room away from the traffic noise for my elderly guests. The receptionist (and "manager", acc to him), Michael, was unfriendly and later on, downright rude. He really should not be in the hospitality business; he acts like... more

We (a family of 5) never actually stayed at this hotel but did have a look at the room and left. We were told of this "heritage" apartment hotel and due to the location and the price, decided to give it a try. It was touted as an executive 2 bedroom suite w/1 bath apartment hotel in a renovated heritage... more

We- My husband, and two other couples were booked on a round the world trip and Canada was our last stop. Being recommended by American Express our Toronto stop was Glen Grove midtown, because it is centrally located. As we wait to check in, we hesitated due hearing people ahead of us threatening to write on trip advisor if an... more

The apartments are decribed as being air conditioned, but the reality is that only the lounge is air conditioned. Try sleeping at temperatures above 30*C. The kitchen is described as fully equipped. The apartment slept eight, yet there were only four glasses, four cereal bowls, four cups etc. The kettle looked putrid. There was a cooker with oven and four... more

We stayed there for one week, and hardly got any sleep. Very hot, too noisy to open windows, and only one air-con unit in the lounge, nothing in the bedrooms. Only one toilet/bathroom between everyone. More like third world than Canada. A friend booked and paid it for us to attend a wedding, so we don't know price. I hope... more

I reserved a two bedroom suite at Glengrove. Upon arriving (after driving from Miami) I was informed that the hotel only offers one parking spot per room. This is not stated on their website nor when reservations are booked. We had drvien up in two cars. Despite having reserved a TWO room suite, the receptionist insisted we were only entitled... more
