Our stay at The Davenport was for two nights, March 22nd-23rd. Location and staff we're great. The magnificent Marrion Square is just around the corner. We found The Davenport has an elegance befitting it's era, with it's varnished wooden doors. In addition, the decor adds to the effect. The cleanliness also ratings a mention. All around excellent stay. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful. The room was great, huge bed, high pressure shower. The breakfast was the best we had in Ireland. more

The rooms were in need of a good over haul. Stained bed covers, Chipped woodwork & Dirty walls. Was given such a small room the bed was pushed up against the wall - asked to be moved and was told room was usually used for single travellers! so why put us into it in the first place! Very nice hotel in Dublin. A short walk to Trinity college and other sites. While hotels in Dublin can be very expensive especially with the exchange rate, the hotel was a good value as it was very good in a beutiful building. more

The Davenport is a nice, clean and friendly hotel. The location is not excellent but by no means 'out of the way'. The center of town is only a ten minute walk and a bonus of this is the streets are quieter at night (less drunken shouting than say the Temple Bar area). I stay in this hotel when on... more
