This hotel is a gem! Gorgeous, ultra clean--trendy without being stiff, and the management is fantastic. We have stayed in 5 star places that do not match the standards of this hotel. Only problem is when the cruise ship people enter the building and use their "outside voices"--but this, of course, can't be avoided. Fantastic place. more

Pros: The junior suites were very large, up to date and a good value for your euros. The location is excellent- right in the middle of the tourist district of Barcelona but we had a courtyard facing room and we never heard any street noise. We have just returned from a week long visit and couldn't be more pleased with the Montecarlo.Our standard room was modern,clean and comfortable with a large and well equipped bath.We had a courtyard view which was very quiet.
