I'm a big fan of Hiltons and Marriots etc, big modern hotels were you can get lost in the crowds and go do your own thing, but still get the normal courtesies from the staff. Stayed there for 3 nights for business. From outside the hotel is not impressive, the building looks more as an office block than a hotel. We have stuggled with accomodations in Barca in the past, as it's difficult to find that cost/quality/location balance - with here things were different. The AC Barcelona is a comfortable, modern hotel with a cool stylish feel to it. The standard rooms really are deluxe rooms. I have stayed here before in a junior suite and to be honest, with the obvious difference in size, the comfort level is fairly similar.
