Lovely quiet hotel with excellant surroundings/rooms& service. However dont buy food and drink there- was sooooo expensive and much cheaper on the island (not in hotels)or on" mainland" Venice.I went with my mother who couldnt swim and was a little unsteady and would not recommend this hotel as you have to get on a small boat to the main area... more

We paid for a double and got stuck in a pokey back-room with little space and a view of an internal shaft to delight us. The hotel staff were polite and mannerly, but the prices for room-service were the most outrageous rip-offs I have ever experienced. We moved to another hotel after two days, our experience ruined for those. Perhaps... more

I absolutely adored the Bauer Palladio! Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights celebrating our anniversary and our whole experience was faultless! Although we did not eat at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast was lovely and it was literally eat as much as you want! One thing I would advise anyone staying here is not to bother with... more

If you have booked to stay in the hotel during your visit to Venice you will not be disappointed. This hotel is in a perfect position overlooking the Grand Canal. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the main land reached by a short trip via water bus or free hotel shuttle boat. I notice several comments about... more

Beautiful hotel, fabulous room, great location, but the concierge, bell captain, and front desk help were terrible. The concierge's primary concern seemed to be doing as little as possible for the hotel guests. The front desk gave us 3 different bills before getting to the "correct amount". On the day that we were leaving, I gave our bags to the... more

We have just returned from a 5-night stay at the Bauer Palladio. It's probably the most unique and one of the loveliest hotels we've ever stayed at. A former convent built in 1500, the hotel has been modernized while keeping much of its Renaissance-era structure intact, and they've done a remarkable job of it. We had reserved the "standard" double... more

this is a great hotel for staying in Venice. Located on the island of Guidecca which is a short (5 minute) boat ride directly to St. Marks. The boat is free service provided by the hotel - runs all day and into the night. Hotel is luxury costing about 30% less than its peers located on San Marcos island. Big... more

We spent a long weekend in Venice (4 nights) recently and we choose to stay on the Giudecca island. This is the place to be, the most wonderful view on St Marco square, the traffic on the canal,.... The Palladio is close to the Cipriani, that's a reference. We stayed in one the suite (2 most expensive) and I must... more

Stayed at the bauer palladio for a family holiday to venice in April. We had 4 rooms, and the hotel gave us four rooms next to one another which was fantastic. We booked standard rooms, but they were huge, lovely spacious bathrooms too, and lots of little touches which gave it the true '5-star' feel... slippers, bathrobes etc. Everything about... more

The hotel an old convent beautifully restaured in keeping with old details, very quite and peacefull. Rooms are perfect, Breakfast excellent and everyone, from doorman to waitress kind and helpfull.
