Just returned from Venice and a 3 day stay at Al Codega. The hotel is excellently located close to San Marco and is in a very quiet courtyard. The property itself is spotless and is fairly newly opened - just a couple of years. We had the junior suite which gave us extra room - in fact a twin bed... more

This hotel is currently ranked 29th out of all the hotels in Venice (on this website) - and for very good reason. We spent 3 nights here, and found it an ideal hotel for a Venice trip. The main problem as other people have said is finding it. With the map you're given it should be reasonably easy for you... more

Had an excellent two night stay at the Codega. Great location in a hidden coutrtyard near San Marco's square means its close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. Hotel is fairly new and has been finished to a high standard, rooms and serivce were both great. Can't fault it. more

Thanks to the directions from a previous reviewer we found it with little difficulty, but on a 3 day stay we learned to recognise bewildered looking people with luggage in the S Luca square turning maps upside down as "Al Codega seekers" Hotel had all the good features mentioned by more reviewers, although I thought a few of the reviews... more

This hotel is ok in terms of room cleanliness, rooms are quite small as would be expected for a hotel in the main tourist area. It was very easy to find because the hotel had sent us an excellent map of how to get there from the station. The breakfast wasn't very good. Looked ok when I first saw it... more

Just got back from 4 days at the al codega. We were a little unsure having booked online but once we found it we knew we made the right choice. Right in the heart of the san marco district but hidden away and very quiet. The staff were excellent and the rooms are very new and clean. Was hard to find... more

Another superb find from Trip Advisor! There is no way I would have stumbled across such a great hotel. I've been lucky to stay in many superb hotels across the world and was delighted with this one. Its real plus is its location - literally seconds from both St Mark's & the Rialto. Most hotels are on the Lido, which... more

I have just returned from a three night stay at Hotel Al Codega. Getting to the hotel was no problem but I strongly suggest you take the boat to Rialto Bridge - its No 2 and not No 82 as indicated by the hotel (it has been changed since January). We had three rooms booked and all three were fantastic.... more

This is probably the best hotel we have stayed in thus far in our European travels. Ill guess Ill begin with the increadable location, as mentioned in most reviews. But I did not think it was hard to find. Follow the map given to you by the hotel (as in count the turns and turn when it says to even... more

Positives: 1. The hotel was easy to find. Don't listen to the other reviews on this issue, Our 12 year old boy led us there as we pulled our cases by following the pdf map supplied by the hotel. It is literally 5 minutes from the Rialto water bus stop (at a suit case pulling speed). 2. Staff were warm,... more
