Challis Avenue is the most beautiful Avenue in Sydney - lined with historic buildings and excellent cafes as well. It was a pleasant bonus to live at Simpsons Hotel for a week. This heritage hotel is located in a trendy area within easy walking distance of waterside restaurants, the Botanical Gardens and the Opera House etc. Breakfast is served in the Conservatory and the bedrooms are furnished in keeping with the period. The house was lovely the rooms quite nice. We booked the B&B having read Tripadvisor recommendation and weren't disappointed. The location is perfect - just a short walk through Botanical Gardens to city centre. The staff (particularly Vanessa) were very helpful.
