If you love Somerset Maugham and Grahame Greene, stay at or visit The Eugenia for afternoon tea. The rooms are spacious and lovely, full of old-fashioned charm. The staff are courteous and incredibly helpful. The afternoon tea rooms are straight from a film set - a lovely library, comfy couches, dimly lit, old cabinets, old fans etc. Thailand wasn't colonised... more

from the airport pick-up in the old merc, to the copper bathtub in our room this place is super-romantic, super-charming, and a great breath of fresh air if you're a bit tired of white-minimalist cristina ong/banyan tree-style spa-hotels the hotel is small and charming.. the pool also.. if you need otherwise go somewhere else in a world being invaded by... more

When we arrived we were informed we had been upgraded to a 'Eugenia Suite', and the room was beautiful. Simple decor, with furniture and decorating kept in original style. There were thoughtful touches in the room such as a fresh fruit platter and fresh coconut juice upon arrival. The staff were extremely helpful and made clear to us the facilities... more

What a fantastic experience. It's not your typical hotel, but it has all the charm of an old colonial style house. On arrival we were picked up by an old jaguar (gorgeous). We had the smallest room in the hotel, but we didnt mind, since we only stayed 2 nights. The service was excellent, the food was great, the bed... more

After two months of travelling IndoChina our last four days were spent at the Eugenia in Bangkok. We'd arranged for pick-up at the airport and transfer back to the hotel in one of the Eugenia's classic autos. The guide slept all the way back to the hotel (luckily the driver was wide awake!). A quick overview of the city is... more

We stayed at the Eugenia for only one night (more's the shame) but it was absolute perfection. The service, from the very minute we arrived until we left, was impeccable. We had the very real perception that we were miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. I would agree with the other reviews that the location is probably... more

Amazing and SO stylish! From the quirky , stylish front of house staff to the copper bath tubs, the REAL Irish linen bedsheets to the French Maid costumes on the great female hotel wait staff, not to mention the dozen or so single malts and all the vodka and gin brands known to man and all stacked on antique furniture... more

We just got back from a weekend stay in a Sawasdee room at The Eugenia. Overall we were very happy with the hotel & would stay there again. However, we would warn off those who are expecting the same service as at a full-service Bangkok hotel. This is a small boutique city hotel with simple but tasteful furnishings & simple... more

The Eugenia Hotel is really a stylish and gorgeous little hotel. The service and food there also impeccable. The linen sheets could be a little stiff but thats matching the whole colonial style experiance. I stayed there with my fiance (now husband) for a week, felt like i was living a movie. I suggest anyone who visits Bangkok to try... more

Wonderful old-fashioned boutique hotel on soi 31 - not walking distance from the usual night life attractions, but a bit more peaceful for it. Big, comfortable old fashioned rooms and bath rooms. Excellent F&B in the library style public areas. Complimentary internet access and lap-top loan. Only 12 rooms, so feels much more like a home from home than the... more
