This hotel is great. If you are lucky enough to get a room facing the bay, the view is amazing. Even on a cloudy day, you can see fairly well. The staff there is really helpful and the location is very transit friendly. You can easily walk, taxi or take the train to wherever you need to go. All in... more

Family of 4 (Parents & 2 teens) - 10 nights in Tokyo. Did the research and as expected, rates at Ryokans and hotels were numbingly expensive. Ryokans averaged maybe 7000y -20,000y per person per night (converting to avg Au$70 - AU$200 per person per night), and hotels were quite restrictive in # persons per room (max 2 or 3 with... more

Tokyo Bay is just a 5 star in Tokyo. By Intercontinental standards is just makes the grade as a 5 star as it is slightly old. The Hotel has outstanding service, character and value. I found that through the Interncontinental website I paid abt US$190 per night (1 month in advance) which was great value for Tokyo for a 5... more

We stayed here for six days on the way to the ski fields of Japan and found it a very good experience. We hired the hotel minivan from narita to the hotel because we had so much ski gear and that cost us $500 aud,the hotel tried to discourage us because of the cost when we booked it,they suggested the bus.Even... more

Our 17th floor room facing Tokyo Bay had a breathtaking view. The room was spacious and decorated beautifully. Bathroom had a separate stall shower and full-sized tub as well as one of those wonderful automatic toilets. One of the downsides for us was communication. Even though front desk staff can speak English, we had a few major issues with them... more

Was disappointed with this stay at the Inter-continental and will probably not return here. Am an Ambassador level member with the ICH group, but this was hardly acknowledged. The location is okay. About a 10 minute walk to either the JR or the subway line. However, there is hardly anything else around the hotel. You really do have to go... more

Spent 6 nights at the Intercontinental as part of a business trip. Several travel guides had warned against the Hotel somehow isolated location, but in reality the Hotel is very well connected through the JR Yamanote line (Ginza in 5 minutes, and easy connections to Shinjuku and Roppongi). I also had business in Odaiba for which it was convenient as... more

Rooms are clean, modern, if small, and some have great views of the rainbow bridge and Tokyo Bay. It is a pleasant 10+ minute walk away from JR station, and right next to the hotel is a smaller, privately operated metro line which is more expensive than JR but provides a faster link to city centre from this hotel. Food... more

I found everything that previous posters described in the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay Hotel. The service was very good, hotel in nice condition. If you like to visit central Tokyo by day (and immerse yourself in throngs of people), then this hotel may be good as an oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle. Yes, its off the beaten track... more

I stayed at the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay on business. While the hotel has wonderful views of the bay, it is pretty isolated. There are no other hotels nearby and there is very little in the way of shopping or restaurants nearby. There was, however, a train stop minutes from the hotel's front door. The rooms are lovely and modern, again... more
