If you are looking for a room in the fancy shopping district of Ginza, then this is perhaps your hotel, but who really wants to shop in Tokyo? Except for rooms that are worn (and in urgent need of redecoration) and have no view (as the hotel is in a low-rise and surrounded by taller buildings), and overpriced restaurants the... more

OK where do I even begin. There are so many lovely, wonderful things about this hotel. First, the overall style: if you're looking for high-tech modern skyscrapers like the Park Hyatt, this hotel isn't for you. If you prefer a smaller hotel, with a classic, understated, quiet elegance, where you can relax and leave your stress behind, then don't stay... more

We've stayed a week at this wonderful hotel, and just extended another week. The location is superb, and the service is fantastic. The concierge has helped with a variety of issues, including airplane problems and restaurant reservations, and we've been consistently surprised and happy. Very kid friendly -- just ask our three kids! more

We were truly impressed by every aspect of this hotel, particular the superb unobtrusive service. The staff made us feel at home and the welcome so warm and personal it felt as if we were special guests in a friend's private chateau. Service was second to none and befitting of the typical Japanese hospitality and charm. We booked through the American... more

We stayed in Seiyo Ginza in January and again in August, 2006. On both occasions, we were delighted with the treatment we received. 1. The staff were exceptionally courteous and friendly in all their dealings with us. The rooms were spotless. 2. The location in Ginza was very convenient for us - close to restaurants, shopping, Tokyo central train station,... more

to think we actually left our beautiful room at the grand hyatt tokyo to come stay here - first of all when you walk in you feel like you can't speak as it is so quiet - then when you get to the room you see a shabby old bygone hotel room - i am a part of the leaders... more

We stayed at this hotel for only 1 night (after a bad experience at another hotel down the road). The hotel is very expensive but it is amazing, we were lucky enough to get upgraded to the rosewood suite free of charge, after they had heard about our experience at our last hotel. We ate in the french resturant which... more

I stayed at the Seiyo Ginza Hotel for four nights while I attended a meeting in Tokyo. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive, the room was well appointed, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was great with wonderful scented bath items from Australia (soaps, shampoos, bath gels)- and the scents were changed daily. As others have... more

During my three days stay, I had never met the butler face to face. When I was checked in, no one explained to me how to contact the butler. I found out later from the desktop manual that the best way to contact th butler is through the faceless telephone! I am also very disappoined by the concierge's recommendations on... more

We stayed 4 nights at the Seiyo, which had been recommended to us by a frequent traveller to Japan. We were awed by the level of service. The location is perfect for sightseeing. Ginza is a very pleasant part of Tokyo, there are plenty of beautiful shops and restaurtants; the imperial palace, kabuki theatre and the fish market are within... more
