We just returned from our wonderful trip to Roatan. BIRB was wonderful. I am a picky eater and they accommodated my strange eating habits. The staff was super friendly and helped us when we had any questions or concerns. We decided to take the snorkeling package. It was to include 5 consecutive days of boat snorkels. 3 snorkels per day.... more

This was, quite simply, the best, most relaxing vacation I've ever had. The owners, Cam and Ted, met us at the airport and were incredibly organized. Before we knew it, we were loaded on the van and before they could put a punch drink in our hand, the bags were in the room and we were beachside. The rooms were... more

I travel to many locations, 2 or 3 times a year, and have never felt the need to complain about a place before. BIBR is the exception. I wouldn't even be writing a review if I felt that the resort listened to the issues and attempted to resolve them, but instead, they took no responsibility and pointed at us as... more

We had a great week at Bay Islands Beach Resort. The Owners, Ted and Cam, really give this dive resort a very special ambiance. They are on-site, keep things running smoothly, and available to their guests for any concerns you may have. They are terrific people, greeting you at the airport, getting you to the resort, and seeing you off... more

Oh, this is a tough one. We stayed next door to the resort and because of this the resort offered us 10% off of their activities and free use of their kayaks, etc. What a nice thing for them to do, that is why this is so tough. We only ate their once, breakfast, and it was adequate, nothing special... more

The snorkeling was great for us. We saw 3 kinds of eels, an octopus, lots of BIG barracuda, stingrays, burr fish, drum fish, hog fish, star fish, and many of the typical reef fish, including the largest parrot fish we had ever seen. The owners are wonderful--so helpful and they have a true love of the local people and understand... more

We stayed at The Bay Island Beach Resort for 7 days in early March 2008. We had a wonderful time, but wouldn't recommend the hotel carte blanche to anyone. It was me, my husband, and our 6-year-old daughter. The resort does go out of its way to help families have a nice time, with babysitting and (in theory--more on this... more

If you are looking for a good value, there are many better places to stay in Roatan. My husband and I spent four days here, and wished we had stayed in West End. Let me say first, that I am pretty easy to please. I travel a lot, and stay in places that range from backpack lodges, to private islands.... more

We spent a week with their all-inclusive dive plan and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Perfect sized property with a cozy, manicured ambiance. Staff took care of all our needs and, even when weather blew in to disprupt our diving on the leeward side, they shuttled us to the other side of the island so that our dive regimen would not... more

We just spent a beautiful week at the Bay Island Beach Resort. The food was great. Our room was very comfortable. The scuba diving was incredibly beautiful. The staff was always helpful and extremely courteous. The dive boats were never crowded. The weather, which you can never control, put us always on the lee side. I can't say enough about... more
