“Wonderful Visit with large group of athletes”

A large group of 200 athletes and their families from the United States were guests for a week during International Jump Rope Competition in Capetown. We (wife, toddler and myself) needed a hotel for an overnight stay and we contacted several hotels by telephone and the prices were just unbelievabley high for a last minute booking and considering that Nov 11 is just barely into high season-there are a lot of empty rooms around but no one seems to be budging on price. We arrived at 10.30pm for an overnight stay, having just flown in to Cape Town and prior to leaving for a tour of the Western Cape the following day. Despite having paid for our rooms (2 doubles) and having confirmation and vouchers to prove such, they claim they had no reservation ( only a mispelt name in a cancelled booking!?)... more

Was here for a week with a conference group. Rooms were very nice, clean, and good sized. The conference facilities were good and well organized and friendly.
