We recently returned from a 5 day/4 night stay at Estancia El Bordo with our 12-year old daughter. We had been looking forward to this part of our 2-week Argentina vacation, but we were blown away with the experience. We chose for our second stay in Salta a hotel on the outskirts few days to rest after having traveled widely between Salta and Jujuy. The election was most accurate because our stay in this beautiful place was simply excellent. If you want simply enjoy tranquillity and peace of mind than I recommend that you not hesitate to stay here. more

We stayed here for 3 nights in March 08, with our 3 teenagers (from 17 to 11) and had a most memorable time. This historic, colonial style estancia is perfect precisely because it genuinely feels like a family home, not a tourist trap. The house has been in the family of our host Agustin for generations. My husband, 14 year-old son and I had a memorable stay at El Bordo de las Lanzas, which is around 40 minutes from the city of Salta and 20 minutes from the Jujuy airport.
