We had a great time at the Days Inn in June. We parked around the corner and it was an easy walk to the hotel entrance. (No need to bother with valet service.) This is a nice location in an increasingly gentrifying neighborhood. (I was sorry to see that a little locally-owned health food store across the street was replaced by one of those "upscale edgy" clothing chains) You're about 20 minutes via CTA from Watertower, and 25-30 from Union Station, counting the time it takes to wait for the bus or train.... more

I have been staying at the Days Inn for years. The current staff is amazing. They are very helpful and they will go the extra mile. The hotel has been rehabbed over the years and is in it's best condition it has been in. Get a business room if you want a little bigger room with a little nicer experience.... more

The room was very clean and cozy. Bed linen and pillows extremely comfortable. Coffee maker, iron, ironing board, safe, hair dryer, microwave, refridgerator, and snacks all included. Room was a little small, nice view of the building next door and fire escape. The hotel was in a good location,close to a lot of shops, theaters,and The metro club, wrigley field. We booked 5 nights through choosechicago.com and got a nice rate (under $100). The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and fairly spacious. Best bed I've had in a hotel. Free breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly and the Lincoln Park location was convenient (15 minutes downtown by bus). Certainly not a full-service, downtown hotel, but more than adequate... more
