wow! simply wow. i could not possibly imagine a better place to stay in hana. hana is pretty worthwhile in it's own right, but for a couple of days, hale manu made us feel like we lived some sort of paradisaical life. the house was immaculate (and mind bogglingly well equipped), the view stunning, the grounds beautiful and the hosts... more

We stayed at Malanai for 3 nights and could have easily stayed much longer. The house is beautiful and has everything you need in a very quiet lush area. Hana Town is very low key with very nice people. Enjoy the ride out on the famous Hana Hwy (take your time). Malanai is so homey and lovely and the location... more

We stayed 3 nights in Hana (highly recommended) during our trip to Maui. This beautiful house named Hale Ulu Lulu is comfortable, excellently located, serene, secluded and peaceful. Only for couples, tastefully decorated, all the appliances + a not so reliable wifi (yet enough for what you should need there). Chris was great and both him and Leokane take care... more

We have stayed at the Guest Houses at Malanai two years in a row and we are returning next year for a third visit. We recommend the larger house -- the Hale Manu -- for it's private deck, great view, and many conveniences. The hosts at Malanai are exceptionally thoughtful. The property is spotlessly clean. If we could've packed up this cottage and brought it home with us, we would have. What a perfect spot. Hawaii was our best vacation ever and the Hale Ulu Lulu house made it even more special.
