Our entire family of 12, 6 adults and 6 kids(ages 11-19) eagerly awaited our 7 day vacation in Maui!!! We booked through Maui Holidays and Glen raved about the Hale Mahina. We were never warned that the property managers at the resort, DID NOT WANT CHILDREN THERE!!! From the moment we arrived, we were harassed and told to be quiet.... more

Our family of four (boys aged 12 & 14) stayed in Unit #B403 from March 13-26, 2008. The Hale Mahina is comprised of 2 seperate 4 storey buildings with a mix of 1 and 2 bedroom units. All units face the ocean and the 4th floor units have the 2nd bedroom and bath in a loft area. Views are wonderful... more

Wonderful week stay at Hale Mahina with spouse and 3 kids- 11,14,17. Great pool and hot tub area, facing the ocean. Often we were the only ones in the pool or hot tub. Grassy area for lawn chairs (sun and shade). Beachfront- not the best for swimming, but good for boogie boarding, snorkeling, and shell seeking. # bedroom unit was... more

We, family with kids, stayed at the Hale Mahina in June 2007. Our first family trip to Maui and after reading the last post, I feel a bit guilty for not posting after our trip. Here are the pros and cons during our stay- Pros of the Unit A205- Ocean front, water was 40-50 feet away, gorgeous unit, completely remodeled,... more

This was our first trip to Maui, and after this experience, it will be our last. This complex should be advertised as an over 55 complex, or couples only. We traveled with several families, and were stalked by the resident managers the entire week. No playing in the pool, no games on the grass, basically No Fun, and this is... more

We have just returned from our recent stay at Hale Mahina Beach Resort Maui. Having stayed there in several occasions in other units I can honestly say I will never stay in any other unit other then A202 again!!! I booked directly from the owner who recently purchased and completely renovated the unit. It is absolutely paradise you don't even... more

LOVED IT! If you are looking for a peaceful place that is beautifully landscaped with a homey feel...HALE MAHINA is the place. My family and I spent the days laying by the pool, eating dinner on our balcony over looking the ocean and fell asleep to the sound of the waves splashing on the private beach below. The price was... more

I am ambivalent about writing this review, because then everyone will find out what a great spot it is and I'll never be able to get in there myself again! First of all, Hale Mahina is located in an excellent area, and is one of the few condo complexes that has a small, sandy beach. The pool sits in the... more

What an absolutely delightful place. Condos and other amenities are maticulously maintained. Most units are very weill appointed and decorated. Location just north of Kaanapali is quieter and less busy and crowded. Close to stores and takeout foods and a very great farmer's market. The beach is smallish, but private and very clean. Whales appeared daily and green sea turtles... more

We stayed at the Hale Mahina 3/23-3/29. Individual condo rentals on the property & also permanent residents. Our condo was on the fourth floor (403) and a beautiful ocean view from our lanai. Small private beach with beautiful water clarity, the kids loved it. Nice pool & hot tub. The condo was very nice & clean with many extras, snorkeling... more
