the hotel location is fantastic very central to time square just a 10 min walk away central park 15min walk away. When I booked the hotel it was fanshion week so the hotels were mainly full. After reading your reviews I was not sure I made the right choice but yes the rooms are small the bathrooms very small but... more

I stayed here for a week with my mother. It was my first time in New York and I really think this hotel helped make my holiday all the better. The location is unbeatable. Right on broadway - just a few blocks south of Central Park and about 10 blocks North of Times Square (about a 10 minute walk). The... more

Have just spent a week in New York in this hotel with my adult daughter. We were both delighted with it. The location is so near to Broadway and Times Square. It took us 5 minutes to walk to The Lion King, about 10 minutes to Wicked etc. It was surrounded by great places to eat, near to the tube,... more

Do not stay at this hotel its the worst place we have ever stopped in our lives!!! The reception is deceivingly pleasant but that soon changes when you make the dull and dingy walk to your room!! We were given a room on the second floor to start and the dim lit corridors stunk of stale smoke and when we... more

This hotel was recommended by our travel agent, who had stayed here a couple of times. After reading the reviews I was a bit worried, but after our last visit when we;d stayed at the horrific Pennsylvania, I thought it could not be any worse.. On our arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was a decent... more

Well she is now living in NY attending school and my wife, daughter and I stayed again at the Ameritania while moving my daughter into her dorm. We were not disappointed. Staff was friendly from the moment we left the cab with... more

Stayed for 2 nights 28-30 July at the end of a 5 city trip throughout US. We had stayed previosuly in 2005 and although room not great was serviceable. On arrival this time we found that the 'double' standard room really should have been a single as so tiny and claustraphboic. On complaint we were told that is what we... more

I've never understood anyone who complains about small bathrooms in hotels, why is that so important?! In a city like NY you spend as little time as possible in your hotel, there's too much to see and do. We had a HUGE room with 2 queen beds, a walk in wardrobe, maid service everyday, a deli on the corner for... more

We booked our stay here several months in advance and were able to secure very affordable rates. (Under $200. per night) Just before our trip, we saw the negative reviews and became concerned and tried to book elsewhere. However, our stay was during All Star week and there was nothing to be had for under $400. We crossed our fingers... more
