We booked our week through VRBO dealing direct with the owners. We were sold by the Virtual Tour offered on the VRBO web site. We stayed in unit 609 owned by the Heinens and Grays of Reno NV. The unit is in the back corner closest to the Kea Lani.I believe that the back corner units are the only ones... more

We believe Polo Beach Club represents the best oceanfront value in the Wailea / Makena area (South Maui). With the exception of the Marriott, all of the hotels in Wailea are very expensive and the various condominium options are even more pricey (some start at over 1,500 a night). As with all condo rentals, the trick is getting the right... more

We stayed at Polo Beach Club for two weeks at the end of Febuary. It was great. We've stayed at Wailea Elua during our last several visits to Maui, and found Polo Beach to be at least as nice, but much closer to the beach, ocean and pool. The pool and beach were never crowded. There is public access to... more

We booked a 2-bedroom condo at Polo Beach Club through Destination Resorts. I think that was my mistake. Clearly, based on the pictures of other Polo Beach Club condos that are available online, I should have booked directly with an owner. The condo we got was very, very average in furnishing, not at all updated, and was on the ground... more

Our stay at the Polo Beach Club was truely one of the nicest expierences we have had on vacation. We were very lucky to have found the website for unit 408, which we researched and found it to be one of the, if not the nicest, units in the building. We booked through the owners site, and felt better doing... more

We have stayed at the Polo Beach Club twice now with our three younger girls, and although the pool can get a little dull, the beach is absolutely perfect for a young family-sometimes it's a little crowded on weekends, but so much more laid back than Ka'anapali and less traffic. Don't forget to stop at Costco as soon as you... more

Just got back from 14 days and Wailea and Polo Beach were quite enjoyable. Not sure why they say this is in Kihei, as its in south Wailea/north Makena. Its the last property on the trail that hugs the ocean and passes by the Fairmont, 4 Seasons and Grand Wailea. Wailea is more layed back than Kaanapalii, which some like,... more

Absolutely loved it! If you're in the market for a condo in Wailea - don't hesitate to stay here! For a bit more than a non-view room at a resort in Wailea , we rented unit #202 via the Vacation Rental By Owner website. It was an elegant and completely renovated 2 Bedroom/2 Bath condo which had EVERY possible comfort.... more

Condo rentals in Hawaii can be hit or miss - it all depends on the exact unit you get and how honest the booking source is about "ocean front". We stayed at Polo Beach for six nights in an ocean-front unit for around $350 a night (quite a bit cheaper than the $500+ a night I've seen lately). The unit... more

We stayed in Unit 408B Polo Beach Club, owned by the Schumans. I found this originally on the VRBO website, which includes a lot of photos and virtual tours which make it helpful in selecting your unit. Although we contacted the owner directly, there was no advantage in price, we still ended up having to book everything through Destination Resorts.... more
