Located next to I-55 about five miles south of downtown St. Louis, MO, this place turned out to be a real treat. Two “older” musicians were playing guitar, fiddle, and harmonica. I heard about Iron Barley on the Food Network, Diners Drive-ins, and Dives, so since my husband and I were in St. Louis for a Cardinals game, we decided to try it for lunch. The Iron Barley has excellent food! I find that most restaurants these days offer poorly seasoned, mediocre tasting food that costs too much. The food at the Iron Barley tastes home made. If you get a chance, stop by in the summer to taste their amazing watermelon salad. It's to die for! more
