The entertainment in Cabaerete (10 min walk along he beach) changes all the time and is probably better then what is at the hotel. Just my opinion

Hi

We just returned last week and I can tell you what some of the shows were. They had a haunted castle show, New York Broadway show, another night they had Dominican dancers and singers, Las Vegas night, and Mr Viva night.

hope this helps

There is always a lot of turn over on enternment teams. I remember going to Iberostar Bavaro and talking to one of the workers who stated that in 1 month 3 of the team had succesfully married foreign hotel guests and were able to leave the country. Most members of the teams get married to guests within 1-2 years and end up married to Canadians or Brits

We did enjoy the hotel, however we were planning for a more relaxing vacation. We were hoping the hotel would not be too busy this time of year, however the hotel was full to capactity for our entire stay. The locals filled up about 90% of the resort, and they all seemed to have many children with them, so this made it difficult to enjoy the pool, as it often had anywhere between 50 - 100 kids in it. I was also a bit surprised by the food selections, the a la cartes were excellent, but the buffet did not seem to offer many dishes that we recognized. This was my 4th trip to Puerto Plata, and I have never had this problem before. Perhaps it was just the time of year that we went. (july 5 - 12th)

We actually travelled with a 14month old, and found food for him to eat most nights. Although there were 2 evenings that we could only get cheese and bread for him from the buffet, as there were not any dishes that we recognized that we felt comfortable feeding him. The a la cartes were excellent, we went to the Ibiza once, and the Bambu twice. The beach grill was fine for lunch- pizza, burgers, hotdogs and nachos. Breakfasts were okay, but not as good as I was expecting.

awsome thanks for that info. Mine is a very picky eater and i'm hoping by the time we go he will be 26 months and will have gotten a bit better so it's not such a concern for us. We took him to Grand Sirenis when he was 14 months and it was great there so us as they had a huge selection of food and considering he's not eating much more then he was then, we were able to find things. They had a huge selection!! :) he won't eat cheese or pasta , veggies or meat! very picky!
