Great Location
We will definately stay at the Ramada on Bourbon Street the next time we go to New Orleans. It was in heart of all the action but when inside the hotel or court yard it was very quiet and relaxing.

Everything we wanted..
The Inn is an older hotel, old opera house site.. It had all the amenities we needed including a great pool area which was refreshing after walking around town all day. The service was excellent. The rooms were small but they had all we needed and who comes to NOLA to stay in their room? The location was perfect, right in the heart of Bourbon Street. The noise didnt bother us since we didnt go there to sleep. Its a partiers paradise...
Traveler's tip on dining
The breakfast buffet for $11.50 was the perfect start to our day as I like to be able to go back to my room to wash up before I start sightseeing.

Okay for the price
Not a bad place to stay for the price. The lobby had a funky smell to it, we never did quite figure out what that was. Our room was right over Bourbon street so it was a bit noisy at night. Next time well request one over the pool area.

Highly recommended
We stayed at the Inns for 3 days, and we liked it very much. The staff was very helpful, and the location could not be better.

Nice room
My husband & I absolutely loved the hotel @ first. They had Bath & Body works products in the bathroom, the halls smelled like vanilla and the bed & pillows were sooo comfortable unfortunately we were in for a let down. We were told on our 1st day that we could upgrade for free to a balcony room during the week since it was slow & then move back to an inner room on Friday, when we asked the front desk clerk the next day she said we would have to pay $100 per night. It was no big deal I guess... just kind of annoying, then the tub was backed up the whole time. My number one piece of advice is to to stay away from the breakfast buffet no matter what! It was horrible, there was mold on the fruit, the sausage was soaking in 6 inches of grease and the bacon was microwaved. All in all the hotel was nice. The location made up for the little inconveniences.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
We rented bikes at Michaels on Frenchman St. It was great, we rode out to the City Park ( the sculpture garden is really cool!) Smugglers off Conti has a great happy hour from 4-8 p.m. 2 for 1 on really good drinks! If you are like us & got sick of fried food after a while there is a fantastic Thai place over by Frenchman St. but I cant remember the name. And if you like great beer go to the Crescent City Brewery the beer was awesome & the oysters were delicious!

A great place to stay on Bourbon
The Inn is a great place to stay if you want to be in the middle of what the French Quarter has to offer. You are within walking distance to all riverfront attractions, the streetcar and of course Bourbon Street is right on your doorstep. Just remember that you will be on Bourbon street and the action there winds down very late into the evening. We stayed in a standard room and although our view was of the hotel parking lot we were not on vacation to stay in our room and look out a window! However, we were on the side that did not face the street so the only noise was from the folks staying in the rooms across the hall having fun on their balcony. We didnt mind, though, as it is all part of the experience! I am very satisfied withour experience....the consierge, doorman and entire staff were friendly and very accomodating.

Talk to the concierge for local attraction ideas, reservations and the areas to avoid. Any traveller from out of state must soak up the local food, music and definitely go on a swamp tour. Take note that in some bars and restaurants they automatically add an 18% gratuity for any size party. Finally, there is a Walgreens down by Jax brewery. If you are there during the summer it can be humid so buy a case of water and always have a few bottles with you at all times!

Bourbon Street
The hotel was all about location. You step out the door into the nightlife of Bourbon Street. But you must take the good with the bad. The noise does continue throughout the evening. Great service and hospitable staff.

Dont miss Acme Seafood House for raw oysters a few blocks away.

just an everyday hotel
THE PARKING ATTENDENTS WERE VERY NICE. IVE STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE LAST 10 YEARS AND FOUND THIS STAY JUST THE SAME. THE LAST 2 YRS I STAYED AT ROYAL SONESTA AND ITS A LITTLE MORE PLUSH. NOTHING WRONG WITH HOTEL STAY JUST THOUGHT ROOMS WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE MORE UPDATED.

Well locating for partying in the quarter.
The hotel was great--great staff!!! I would recommend a room away from the street. I love to have a good time, but I also love to be able to sleep. We had a perfect room. The breakfast buffet was okay--they seemed shorthanded--as is the case I think in N.O. since Katrina. However, the people that are back working are happy to be there and are there with a smile and courtesy.
Traveler's tip
I would not advise going to New Orleans during July. IT IS TOOO hot. I should have known better but I was having N.O. food withdrawals. The heat was alleviated by rain in the afternoon which cooled things down and even produced a breeze one evening.

New Orleans best
Me and my wife have stayed here many times now and each time we are very pleased with the service, staff, and just the hotel overall. We would recomend this hotel to anyone. You cant beat the location right off Bourbon and it is within walking distance to anything in the Quarter and beyond.

Inn on Bourbon
Really a nice place in the center of everything. A little loud at night BUT that is part of the fun of New Orleans. There are rooms further back that are much quieter. Everything was great. Pool was a little cloudy but that was because of the heat. Breakfast was excellent but a little costly for a buffet. This was our second time at this hotel pre and post Katrina. We most certainly will be back.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Skip the ghost tours. If you like weird then you want the Voodoo or Vampire tour. Like Beer? Buy your drinks at bars that dont sit on Bourbon St. Half a block off on St. Peter or Toulouse is Mollys nice and cheap. Tour on the riverboat Natchez, worth every penny. Dont miss Margaritaville and Pizza Kitchen, both in the South east corner of the French Quarter near the French Market. Make sure you drop by the World War II D-Day museum. Great but have 3 to 4 hours to view.

Ok But Noisy
For being on Bourbon Street the hotel was alright. Towards the end of the week the hotel became noisier, which I should have expected. I have been to New Orleans before and this the first time that I stayed right on Bourbon Street. I probably will not stay on Bourbon Street again.

great hotel but...
great place to stay clean, friendly, great location, nice pool. however, my friends and i were a little upset how we were wrongfully accussed of being involved w/ a minor shouting match between two seperate groups of girls. We stepped in to literally break it up but they didnt wanna hear it and threatened to kick us out of the hotel. Luckily one of the managers was willing to listen and let us stay. We are a group of late 20 something professionals and arent there to cause trouble so I highly recommend to stay clear out of trouble down there evan if u have nothing to do with it.

no drinking bottles in the street...cups are acceptable.

Will Be Back!
My wife and I spent three nights here and where very pleased! Some people complain about the "noise" but come on...Its Bourbon Street!!! The noise was not bad at all, sure you could here some music but that just added to this fantastic atmoshpere! Our room was clean, the staff was absolutley super and Mike down at the bar makes an awesome Hurricane and Bloody Mary! This is our fifth time in New Orleans and when we go back next year (maybe sooner!) we WILL be staying at The Inn on Bourbon!
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Go across the street to Tropical Isle and have a "hand grenade"...It will get your evening stared in a hurry!!!

Never again
The front desk employees were some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. They did not have the room we requested 5 months prior when we checked in and told us that it was simply a request. Then they charge over 200 dollars as a security deposit when you check in even though the hotel had been paid for 5 months. All week I heard other guests arguing about the same problems, at least once sometimes twice a day while passing through the lobby. Should have stayed a block or two away for cheaper. When I pay that much to stay somewhere I should be treated with respect. My 4th time to NO and never been treated this way.

VERY NICE!!
Wow, When we saw that this was rated only a 3 star hotel, we were amazed at how nice it really was. The hotel was exceptionally clean, everyone was nice, and it really is a great location in the French Quarter. If we decide to visit New Orleans again, this will be the place to stay at.
Traveler's tip on local attractions

Will not go back
The hotel was pricey- because it was on Bourbon Street. Very noisey- ask to stay in a roon facing the side street, if you do not want to party all night. Charged for bottled water- a rip off-requested a wake up call- this did not happen, waited about an hour for more towels. Not very clean- for the price- I would not stay there again!
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
Do not stay there unless- you want to party and not sleep any.

Nice but Noisy
This was a very nice hotel located in the heart of the French Quarters. My wife and I found the rooms to be clean but a little small as compared to most modern hotels. If you dont mind the live music coming from the bar on the street, then your stay will be enjoyable. Ask for a room in the inner court. Perhaps that would buffer the sound of the music from the street.

Truly Disappointed
The location is good but that is about it. The room floor felt grimy and I am pretty sure I saw blood stains by the front door. I am not even going to mention the stains I saw in the bathroom. The walls between the rooms were so thin that I could here our neighbors cell phone ring.
Traveler's tip on dining
The hotel is right by the best breakfast place named Petunias.

Get rid of the front desk staff and you would have a perfect score.
Every, and I do mean every employee from housekeeping, to the Concierge. Bell Hop to Bartender were great...with the exception of the front desk staff. From the time we checked in to the moment we checked out 5 days later, the staff was consistently adversarial, disinterested, and generally unhappy to be alive! Nawlins is such a great town that we were determined to not let this negativity ruin our 10 year anniversary. Everyone else was outstanding and the service was as good as I every had at a hotel. My wife and I wondered if the front desk staff was comprised of inmates from a an early release program who had to complete 1000 hours behind the front desk in order to be released.

New Orleans Best Kept Secret, I was very very satisified
The staff always went or over and beyond the call of duty to make your stay a very pleasent one.You are addressed by your name.Everyone was always smiling and more than eager to help in any way possible. The room service was excellent. The maid service was impressive to say the least. Simply ask and everyone is at your beck and call day and night. This is truly New Orleans best kept secret and I cant wait to get back, not to visit family, but to get back to the Inn on Bourbon Ramada and visit with the lovable people there.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
If it is the nightlife you are looking for, simply step outside the door and everything is waiting for you to explore, from dancing in the streets, shopping, dining, and a wonderful carridge ride with more great information and history that you can enjoy, anything fun you can think of. If you need more help just ask the locals at the hotel. The employees hold with them a wealth of great information

Just OK
This hotel is right in the middle of the action, if thats what youre looking for. The service and accomadations were "just average" but was nice for the price of the rooms. Everything in the French Quarter is within walking distance. I thought the ladies on the resturant staff were very warm and friendly.
