Beautiful! Can’t wait to go back!

This hotel was one of the best ones I’ve ever stayed in. Not only did it have a gorgeous lobby with some of the most beautiful Chihuly light fixtures I’ve ever seen, but the room was lovely and soo comfortable. Next time I’m in New Orleans, I’m definitely staying there again. It was in walking distance of everything to see and was even close to our airport.

Great place in the Warehouse District

I stayed in New Orleans to celebrate my birthday and as usual was very happy with this hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was nice and comfy. It is located a few blocks from Canal Place and the riverwalk. It’s a great place to stay if you are trying to avoid the Bourbon crowd. The staff was very attentive and pleasant.

Traveler's tip on dining

You must go to Tommy’s Cuisine a half block down from the hotel. It is classic Italian/Creole and the atmosphere is very cozy. Great service and wonderful food. Save room for dessert and get the Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle!

Very Impressive

I was impressed from the beginning to the end of my stay at the hotel. We were greeted by a couple of friendly bellmen. They told us that they could book us for any tours, make dinner reservations or answer any questions if necessary. They gave us lots of tips and info. The rooms were large and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We did not have any shampoo in our bathroom, so we called the desk downstairs. The lady at the desk called us a little later, just to make sure that we had received our shampoo. The hotel was beautiful, the atmosphere was good. There was a nice restaurant downstairs. The location was great, everything within walking distance.

This is a good hotel for families to stay in. It felt safe there. We took a "swamp tour", which our family really enjoyed. We also took the Devastation/City tour, this was very interesting. It is so sad to see that the city is still effected and trying to recover from the flood tragedy.

Great Hotel! But Breakfast Is Not Great.

Great Hotel, I loved my room and the lobby. The room was quiet and I got a good nights sleep. But at breakfast the service was slow & sloppy. When we went back to the buffet they emptied our table even though our coaut and briefcases were still at the table. We only got one cup of coffee. The food was good though, the problem was with the service. I’d stay there again but I might eat breakfast elsewhere.

Wonderful artistic gem of a hotel

The Renaissance Arts Hotel is in close proximity to the Convention Center and a good walk to the French Quarter, but it is a nice respite from all the noise and congestion of either. The hotel itself is beautiful- Dale Chihuly and John Scott artwork great you as you enter the doors. Lovely sculpture gardens on the second floor and a beautiful rooftop pool with scenic views transport you away from the feeling of traditional, corporate hotels. The staff were very friendly and were particularly accommodating, even when I requested an odd item needed for a presentation I gave at the convention center. There was a daily charge for in-room internet, but there were three computers with internet access available in the business center for no charge. I would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time I’m in New Orleans.

The hotel restaurant was excellent. A fantastic lunch special was only $15 for a three-course meal. Another excellent restaurant was Creole Skillet which was a few blocks away on Julia and Fulton.

Everything was great except charge for iternet

Great hotel, great friendly and helpful staff, great deal on expedia. Only problem was the daily charge for iternet access. Should be free and didn’t appreciate the nickel and diming aspect of this.

I will stay here again

Excellent hotel; located near the French Quarter, the River Walk, and the Lousiana Superdome (all within walking distance). The rooms were clean and comfortable and service was good. The common areas of the hotel were attractive as well, especially the central atrium. The value for the dollar was fabulous, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visting New Orleans.
