An Enjoyable Experience

This was our second trip to the French Quarter and I will admit we were a little skeptical of staying at a hotel that didn’t come with a national hotel chain name .... But that all changed after my stay. Rooms and hotel no doubt gave you a feeling of the French Quarter with its old fashion french decor. Room was clean, location was great, right around the corner from Bourbon Street (but yet far enough back where the noise could not be heard)and the hotel staff was very helpful -- I actually arrived early and they kept my luggage for me while I toured the city and then within the hour called me on my cell to say my room was ready. Also when I was leaving they also granted me more time after checkout since my flight was delayed. I looked foward to coming back!

Convenient

Half a block from Bourbon Street and very quiet. Free breakfast was apples, pastries, coffe and juice - not amazing, but hit the spot for us. Staff was helpful. Would stay here again.

Convenient location, nice price and Quiet

We stayed at Prince Conti Hotel April 29 2008 it’s a fantastic place half a block from Bourbon Street. Big rooms 12-foot ceilings Kings Size bed, clean tile restrooms. I d recommend this Hotel to anyone that really wants to get a feel for the French Quarter. I would stay here again this was truly amazing value for the money. For the free no hassle valet parking was fast & efficient. There is no such thing as free parking in the Quarters Hotel charges $28.00 a night to park in a secure area. Liked Staff Cleanliness & Price Disliked Price of parking and Continental breakfast needs improvement

An excellent choice while visiting NOLA

This lovely and gracious hotel had an exceptional staff from the front office to housekeeping. Rooms were immaculate. The Conti drips with charm and is a true reflection of the culture that makes NOLA unique.

Traveler's tip

Awesome

Prior to booking our room, i read some of the other reviews on this site. I was a little nervous of the room size, the condition of hotel in general and the size of the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised with all three. The hotel is beautiful, it is old, but has a charm that is endearing....the room we had #248, is a large one bed room, with a sitting are, 2 tv’s, and 2 windows (not much as far as sights to see but wonderful to let the light in)The bathroom, while not huge is adequate to move around in....you have a full size tub etc. We were there during the last two days of Mardi Gras, and this hotel is only a short block from Bourbon St., however we were surprised at how quiet the location was. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and accomodating on our last day there. We weren’t scheduled to be picked up until 1pm, check out is at 11 am. They let us store our luggage until it was time for us to depart, at no extra charge...very impressed with this hotel and our stay. New Orleans is a beautiful city with so much to offer and this hotel compliments it greatly.

Traveler's tip on dining

Definately try the Coffee Pot, for breakfast. The Clover Grill for the best hamburger and NOLA, on St Louis Street, for the best overall dining experience to be had. It was an awesome place, our hats are off to Travis Wayne and his crew at NOLA’s.

Prince Conti - A Valentino Hotel. Fantastic hotel!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this spectacular French Quarter hotel. The staff is very professional and friendly and the hotel is in close proximinty to all of those places you may venture to while staying in the Quarter. The Bombay Club Restaurant is one of the best kept restaurants in the city and the entertainment and food is spectacular all while being enjoyed in a very cozy atmosphere. I’ll be back!

Worst Hotel Experience

Loud!!! Street noise was unbearable. Partying could be heard until 4 am. Sound transmitted through the windows as if they were wide open. There were no amenities. No room service, no gym, no minibar no refrigerator in the room. Paid for wireless internet did not work. Valet parking was $30.00 per day and we had a flat tire when we tried to leave.

Nice Atmosphere

The place is a pleasant older hotel with lots of charm. The staff is very professional and friendly. The location is convienent for visiting the French Quarter. The air conditioning didn’t work properly but the weather wasn’t excessively hot at the time of my stay. I will consider a return stay at the Prince Conti.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Be sure to visit Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shoppe. The hurricanes are the best in the city.

not worth the money

The main light in the bathroom was out. One of the windows in the room was cracked. The noise from the street when you are trying to sleep was really really loud. If you ask for a wake-up call it was either done at the wrong time or it was forgotten all together.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

You are right next to the night life of bourbon st. you are just blocks away from the river and the flea market.

Not Impressed

The hotel was very small, unclean and not comfortable at all. One good thing of the hotel, it is located right in the heart of the french quarters.
