Great Business Hotel

I had business in Isabela and the only hotel worth staying at was the Villa Montana Beach Resort in Aguadilla, and I look forward to returning again. Even though it was a business trip and a quick one at that I felt like I was on vacation. This place was incredible, how did I not hear about it sooner? The view of the blue Caribbean Sea from everywhere you looked was breathtaking. Hopefully when I return it will be for longer so that I can take part in surfing, kayaking, horseback riding, tennis and bike riding. This trip I only got to glimpse at guests enjoying some of these great activities. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were not like I am used to at the typical corporate hotels. Such detail went into the decorating of the rooms from the unique tile in the bathroom to the plantation furniture. It has all the modern amenities as well like the coffee maker I could not live without and free wireless. I ate 2 meals at the resort, dinner the night I arrived and breakfast the next morning at The Eclipse restaurant. It was a bit more than I usually spend on meals while traveling but worth the price and a welcome change nonetheless. I look forward to returning to the Villa Montana Beach Resort on future business trips and hopefully I can bring the family back some time so they can enjoy the resort as well.

Great Location

The location is beautifull, especially cold briss from the ocean. The restaurant by the beach made this short trip an unforgetable experience.

A great place to relax

If you are looking to relax this is the place to stay don’t expect any fun activities,you can find things to do near by the hotel,the only problem we got was that the curtains are transparent and the sun hit you at 6.30am in the room,so for late sleepers be ready to wake up early,otherwise wonderfull hotel

go outside,the hotel has one restaurant but it is really expensive,the local have great food,the best pizza is in playa jobo in one of those cars at the beach

Relaxing

Nicest hotel in Isabela, by far. Beds were comfortable. Our room had great cable. Reefs on the hotel’s beach were dead. There were a few fish. Beautiful beach. No entertainment at the hotel, you have to go off site. It is more like an apartment complex than anything.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

If you absolutely have to go to Isabela, stay here, but you will probably be bored. The restaurant at the hotel was very expensive. Definitely rent a car. There are a few bars on Jobos Beach right around the corner from Villa Montana that are pretty busy at night. If you’re looking for an awesome, fun vacation, go to Punta Cana instead in the Dominican Republic.

very relaxing

My husband enjoyed the stay at the hotel. However, the service was slow and the restaurant food needs improvement. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing experience. By the way, everyone was welcoming and warm.

Room was fine but small

The pools were clean and plenty of comfy lounges. Loved the O restaurant exotic atmosphere

Hidden Gem

Although it’s location is down a road that looks more like a driveway, the grounds and the facilities are amazing. It’s right on the beach, and has all of the usual amenities. Even the cliff view rooms (furthest from the beach) had a great view.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Go to Hobo’s beach. It’s a protected cove right up the road. Take your snorkeling gear.

it was really calm and pieceful the only problem was their was no gift shop or kind of store to pick up water or snacks

It has it ups and downs

I thought the hotel was a nice place to stay if you are staying in aguadilla. You have a beach close by and the pools are close too. If you are eating in the restaurant be prepared for very slow service. The food took a long time to come, and expect to spend $100 each for breakfast, lunch, or dinner..but the food was good. On another note, housekeeping took a long time to come around, and they never gave enough towels, We were a party of 4 and had two towels and a hand towel....

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Go to the supermarket and just pick up odds and ends, bring a beach towel so you dont have to go through the hassle going to the front desk and then going back to return it..Bring Pool toys if you are going with kids, bring sunscreen and lots of mosquitoe spray ...they eat you up ...

Beautiful Place

Great location and beautiful place. Very secluded and gorgeous beach. If you like surfing or snorkeling this is a great place for you. The restaurant was very slow but I understand that there is not much if any nightlife so the meal is your entertainment. There cannot be any better view from the restaurant tables though as I witnessed a beautiful rainbow over the blue water surf from my breakfast table.

Not a real hotel

This hotel is not a real hotel. The room you will stay in is actually a room in someone’s villa. It’s like a time share but people live in other parts of the villa. Very uncomfortable. We had our jewelry stolen from our room even with the do not disturb sign outside the door. There was no safe in the room. Service was slow and overall experience was honestly frightening. Never going back.

could be better

This is a nice home -hotel combo. nice atmosphere and beach. I have stayed here a few time the only thing that i find anoying is the rooms or apt. since they are own by individuals the all have different amenities. such as not all have decent TV’s or they don’t have DVD’s on every room. everthing else is GREAT!!

The Playa De JOBOS is a near by surfing spot thats great. there is also horseback riding nearby.

Peaceful

We recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for peace and quiet. However only during the week. On the weekends there are lots of families with small children running around. The beach is wonderful and very beautiful. The room with it’s view was spectacular. Everything we needed was within a 5 to 10 minute drive.
