I hadn't been to PR for a few years & this was my husband's & daughter's first time. I have family in Ensenada & Guanica so we decided to stay here while we visited them. Very convenient. We have traveled alot & are used to big hotel rooms & great food, so I was a little disappointed. Complaining didn't get us anywhere either. The room was very, very small for the three of us & the bathroom was just tiny. No bathtub so I couldn't give my 3 yr old a bath, she's wasn't too fond of showers then. We couldn't have us three & my parents in room at same time. It was just too crowded. The grounds were kept clean, but we were not able to use the pool. We had gotten the breakfast option but never used it, won't do that again. It's a great location, but if they are using this location for training employees, they need to step it up a bit. One night, we had asked for extra towels & my husband had to go & get them from the front desk because the guy was there all alone. The service just could be alot better. Was impressed when first arrived by looks of place but that was it. Prices were better than Copa Marina but will most likely stay there next time for better service.

Stayed for 10 nights... Nice looking hotel, the room had 2 double beds but it was dark and plain. No view, no real window to look out -the building has a rap around porch. Met the owner's nephew who worked in the restaurant thought he was going to be helpful not at all...for breakfast my nephew and myself showed up 10min late was turned away!! Its a small hotel and they don't take care of its guest!- dinner -showed up one minute before cut-off time 8:59pm turned away again! The area does not offer a lot of restaurants drove to another town to find food!!!. First day I arrived they said washing machine broke down - totally understand, but everyday I was asking for clean towels - they never gave us enough. They would leave two towels for four people. On several occasions they were dirty, stained or with wholes. Complained about food situation and towels, everyone at the front desk very nice and friendly but nothing was done. Two days after I checked out a manager called me I explained everything, was told she was going to call me back after speaking to owners... have yet to hear from her or anyone else.

We only stayed in this Parador one night so we could spend two days doing outdoor activities in the area. It was a great basic room - clean but very small. Not much to do if you are looking for "entertainment" but great if you just need a bed for the night. The service was great and so was the food. Perhaps reviewers who didn't like it aren't used to Puerto Rican food - it is definitely a primarily native menu. Also, remember that meals are supposed to be long and relaxing here so service is a little slower (and you have to ask for the check) but we had no problems. In fact, our waiter was very helpful and told us about a fantastic local beach where we spent the next day snorkeling and had the place almost to ourselves. The hotel is NOT government run and has nothing to do with the hospitality school located next to it. Parking is a breeze (not always the case here), although a short walk from the rooms.

We spent 2 nights here just to avoid the exhorbitant prices at Copa Marina since we were on a business trip and weren't going to be lounging on the beach. It's fine for sleeping since it's quiet and clean, but there's absolutely nothing to do there. The food was so bad that we decided to eat our meals off premises. It's a gov't. run and they use it to train future hotel workers, so you can imagine how slow and inefficient it is. Check-in was very slow and the young gal could hardly operate the computer.
