a pretty good place to stay. as per other reviewers watchout for 'resort fee' I think this is allocated via your room card and my children activated it just by looking at pool when they arrived. I don't have a problem with hotels charging this fee, just be upfront about it (which they aren't, I didn't find any mention of it any the room directory even though other 'nominal fees' are disclosed.

It is a bit too far too walk to disney so you need to use the ART, just be wary that it runs about every 25 mins rather than every 20 as suggested by hotel staff. Also it goes in the opposite direction to start off with. It can also get quite crowded after the fireworks at disney.

its a very clean, new, family friendly hotel that is reasonably priced.

When we arrived at the Doubletree we considered ourselves lucky, it was a beautiful hotel. The front desk staff treated us so well and they gave us a nice warm cookie when we checked in. The bellmen were so helpful, Gary made sure we were well taken care of.
We had breakfast in the hotel and it was a buffet with so many good choices. Our server Alejandra was delightful. The manager Bambi was very pleasant and she assisted us in getting a taxi to our destination. We had dinner in Agio and the food and the service was superb. This must be the best kept secret in Anaheim. Not many diners. We had a night cap in the lounge. The bartender was very good although she was getting heckled by an older gentleman on the bar wanting her to go out to dinner. The manager came in and let her go to my suprise. His bartending skills lacked as guest came in asking for drinks in which he had no idea how to make them.
We finished up our night in the whirlpool watching the Disneyland fireworks. What a view! Overall this hotel is one that I will highly reccomend to my friends and co workers. The staff went out of there way to make us feel at home.

I stayed at the Anaheim Doubletree Convention Center from July 13th to the 18th and was very impressed. I was in town for a conference being held at the Marriott but I got a rate for a suite at the Doubletree that was better than the conference rate for a room at the Marriott. The Doubletree was a pleasant 10 minute walk from the Marriott which was a nice way to gear up/unwind for the conference. My suite was very clean and well maintained, the staff was friendly and very helpful when I was having trouble printing out my airline boarding pass in the business center. The pool was well maintained and clean. I also liked having a Disney Welcome center in the lobby, staffed by someone from Disney who could answer questions and sell tickets. Much better than just a kiosk. After hearing my fellow conference attendees complain about how outdated and dirty the Marriott was and about the annoying construction at the Hilton I am very glad I stayed at the Doubletree.

This was the best value for us in the Anaheim resort area (to the previous posters who complained about the "resort" fee, it's a small fee/tax charged for all hotel guests in the Anaheim resort area, not just the Doubletree.) Yes, we had to pay to park, but it wasn't much and all the other hotels charged for parking as well. But it was convenient having a car in the area, especially for daytrips. We only had a car for a few days and then afterwards used the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) which is also convenient and picks you up right outside the hotel.

We ended up with a great rate for our room. The room itself is very nice with a large television and comfy beds. Wonderful Neutrogena products in the bathroom. Fridge so we could store yogurt and milk to have cereal in the mornings. Microwave for dinner leftovers. And best of all - warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in. The front desk was very helpful with any need we had. The hotel was fresh, very clean and well kept. We stayed on the fifth floor and there was a laundry room in case we wanted to wash clothes while we were there (or dry our bathing suits.)

The pool isn't enormous but it's clean and big enough to use. There was also a nice whirlpool to relax in after a long day. I found that if you went to the pool earlier in the day, most of the children were off at Disney so it wasn't very crowded. There were always clean towels in the pool area. At night, we could sit in the pool or the whirlpool and watch the Disney fireworks.

We will recommend this hotel to all our friends and if we go back, count on us staying there again!
