We booked this hotel since we were on a budget while visiting Disneyland and we were pleasantly surprised! We were taking a tour of the West Coast and this was actually the best hotel we stayed at. We stayed at more expensive hotels and didn’t have the space or comfort that we got in this room. It was also REALLY clean when we arrived and also everyday.

The walk to Disneyland is a little far, especially if you have children. We were 3 adults, so it wasn’t as much a problem for us, except when we were tired late at night. BIG TIP: Ride the Monorail over to Downtown Disney and then walk home from there – it’s MUCH faster! You can also cut through the Grand Californian and save some time.

The only negative is that they need to update their hotel. They have no computer system at all at their hotel. I needed to check my e-mail messages and print out our boarding passes for our flight and they could not help me with either. They sent me to a Best Western down the street which cost almost $1 per minute and $1 per page to print – a really big rip-off!

Overall, this is a GREAT budget hotel. There are no extra frills, but the room is spacious and clean everyday. The staff overall is very friendly and helpful. The hotel could definitely use some updating – they didn’t even have an elevator – but overall a great experience and a good choice if you are on a budget.

We stayed at this hotel from the 11th April to to 21st and found it to be quite good and very adequate for the amount of time we were there during the day. We arrived on the 11th after a 13hour flight from Sydney and was unable to check in straight away, but we did not mind and went walking to check out the area. There is a Dennys restaurant right next door, a convenient store and a great Italian restaurtant right behind the hotel. There is also Cocos and Tiffys restaurant two blocks down which are both good to eat at. The 7 eleven store on the corner of Katella and Harbour Boulevard were handy for freshly made sandwiches, salads, fruit etc as the food in Disneyland is really expensive. Disneyland is about a 15minute easy walk and we found a short cut through the Grand California Hotel which took you straight to Downtown Disney. If walking doesn't take your fancy, then the ART shuttle bus runs every 20min and the stop is right outside. This was good as we were the first stop both ways and only had to stand once. The cost is $3.00 pd, $12.00 for a three day pass. These were definitley worth it as they allow you to travel as many times as you want in a day and you can also get on other buses and go to different places. We used this quite a bit to go to the Block Shopping centre which requires two buses. We had two rooms, one for us and one for two teenage boys aged 15 and 13y. This was great as they had their room and we had ours. The rooms consisted of two double beds, fridge and a microwave which came in handy for keeping drinks cold and cooking 2 minute noodles at midnight after a long day and night at Disney. The staff were very nice and very helpful as one night I went to reception at midnight and asked for a Doctor as I had come down with Tonsilits. They had a Dr in my room with medication within half an hour. Just fantastic. The freshly cooked warm cookies were also a nice treat of an afternoon.
The only thing that I could complain about is that the walls were a little thin as we could hear the fellow next door snoring and one morning the previous guests in that room had not turned the alarm off and we were woken at 5.00am with an alarm going off in that room so we had to get reception to come and turn it off. Other than that it was pretty convenient to everything and away from the hussle and bussle of the main drag, Harbour Boulevard and would stay here again due to this.
If you need to do some washing you can use the laundry facilities at the best western next block down at no charge which was very handy. I recommend eating at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, The meals are great, a little expensive but well worth it. Be prepared to wait a about half anf hour or so to be seatyed as they are very busy.

My room was clean and nice. It was in the back of the hotel. So we didn't hear traffic on Kettela ave. The front desk staff was friendly. Fresh cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. The woman who checked us in told us about the ACT trolly. It stops right outside the hotel. Takes you to Disneyland and the resort. this was the best deal of all. $6 for a two day pass.

The only thing I would improve on is the hight of the showerhead. I'm tall and the showerhead was ment for somone about 5'4. But in the grand sceam of things it was a very nice stay.

Disneyland was off season. My boyfreind and I walked on to all of the rides It was the best trip to Disenyland I've ever had!!!

The resort prices for food are way overpriced. Get your hand stamped and take the trolley to COCO's or another outside place to eat.
Skip Tiff's it's next to COCO's. They had the worst breakfast ever. Slow service and old fruit. Yuck!!!

My family and I decided to go back to L.A. for the second time to see the rest of the other attractions we didn't get to visit from our previous vacation but this time we decided to stay at the Pavilions(5 days) because it didn't look so bad when we viewed it on-line plus it's in the downtown area and the tour bus does pick-ups to take you to the bus depo to go to the other attraction, when we got there, there was only 1 front desk staff, she was very unprofessional(talking down to the elderly guest infront of us), we waited until it was our turn and all she did was asked for our info and handed our keys to the room(without even telling us were to go) so I told my husbandand daughter, this is going to be interesting and fun, as we finally got to the room that was assigned to us(in the very back part of the motel) we figured it would be all good inside, the moment we opened the door this awful smell greeted us, it was a smell of damped carpet, it's very stuffy and it can't get any worse than this, the air conditioner makes noise like it's working but no cold air comes out, it was nothing like the photos online. My husband told me to just deal with it since we're only here when it's time to crash and it's not the right time to ask the friendly front desk staff(if you know what I mean). I dealt with it because it's very convenient for us when it comes to getting around since we didn't rent a car, as for what my husband said the room served it's purpose and now that it was time to go, I'll never go back to that motel again although the staff we got at the end was really nice, it's sad that we had to go through this with this motel because like what I said it's very convenient(location and transportation wise).

We did not actually stay here but did a site inspection of the property for work (I am a travel agent).

Located within walking distance to Disneyland this property is good value for money and would suit families.

Rooms are quite dimly lit and on the small size but it is a good basic hotel. There is a Denny’s restaurant next door which provides affordable meals. The hotel has a nice swimming pool area with a hot tub.

Would recommend the Best Western Stovall Inn.
