“Loved Harrah's”

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City

My husband & I stayed at Harrah's new waterfront tower. I was very pleased with our entire stay. The staff were very friendly and pleasant from the moment we arrived. We signed up with the Total Rewards program and received a few freebies when doing so. We used the parking valet for $10, I believe. We did leave our car in the gargage and took a cab to the boardwalk area for $11 each way. The outlets "The Walk" were a bit confusing. it was sometimes hard to cross the streets to get to other stores.
They had your typical outlets stores there, plus a huge Coach store!!

We had dinner at the cafe in Harrahs the food was ok, nothing special. Overall we did have a pleasant experience staying at Harrahs, very clean and no complaints.

“Water Tower at Harrah's - Be sure to ask for this tower”

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City

4 of 5 stars
Chantilly, VA

Went to Atlantic City for 4th of July.

- Stay in Water Tower. High Floor
- If you stay in a High Floor the entrance and exit for the elevator banks is across from the indoor pool, next to restaurants, and the Fitness Room & Spa.
- Rooms & Bathroom are big and comfortable. Flat screen TV, in-room safe, empty working refrigerator to use for food or beverage.
- Was skeptical about an indoor pool - most smell like clorine and aren't very "relaxing" I was surprised this indoor pool felt like an outdoor pool. Very sunny and bright. Pool nice. Has an upper level that goes outside to a sunning deck.
- Enjoyed relaxing and reading at the pool - no children, no Marco Polo, just adults and a lot of peace and quiet.
- Parking free for players club members.
- Free shuttle for players club members to other Harrah owned properties.

Great food option:
The Steakhouse - incredible meal and service. Worth ever penny!

Our complaints:
- Food Service at Reflections Cafe is EXTREMELY slow. Waited 30 minutes for two sandwiches. Server said the manager was going to come over, but he never did. Lots of compliants about the slow service from guests. This is the same restaurant servicing the pool - and guests at the pool were also getting angry about the wait. Since this is the only restaurant open 24 hours - you are kind of stuck with the poor service.
- Breakfast options are limited. We were looking for a place to have a quick breakfast at 8:15 (like a Starbucks) and the only fast option was Club Cappuccino. Breakfast sandwiches are pre-made and sitting under a warmer - they had been sitting there so long they were stuck to the paper wrapper, burnt and poor taste. Threw them out.

All in all - a good time and not expensive. Would highly recommend. Actually liked the Water Tower at Harrah's better than rooms at Borgata or the Tropicana.

“Wonderful Time”

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City

4 of 5 stars
Washington, DC
Jul 2, 2008

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here this past weekend. We were not only pleasantly surprised by the price but by the overall pleasant treatment provided by the staff.

We are non-smokers and it is always an issue when there is a lot of smoking but these areas are clearly marked and one can simply go around them.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view from the 30th floor.

The resort is so large that getting around is certainly going to take some time, but then again, most of the higher-end resorts in Atlantic City are huge!

The food was outstanding; in fact, we probably just ate way too much for our own good. The pool area was very nice and we were just so pleased that our anniversary was with Harrah's.

We'll be back...and bringing friends!

“No in-room safe--No camera in the halls”

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City

This was our first trip to Alantic City and we decided to stay at Harrah's because we were famaliar with Harrah's in Vegas. Our room was very nice, clean, beautiful view. The pool was awsome as well as the food. The Waterfront buffet was very nice. The casino was very, very cold and the selection of slots were limited(mostly in the smoking sections) a lot of 5 liners which I can't stand. However one person I was traveling with hit pretty well. We were very disappointed to find no in room safe. Every casino/hotel I've stayed in had a safe. There are no cameras in the hallways and no security watching elavators so anyone could go up to the rooms. Needless to say we had money missing from our room.

We had a problem with the shuttle that takes you to the Boardwalk. No problem going but trying to come back to the Harrah's hotel, the driver wasn't going to let us on w/out our room recipt. The driver was very unprofessional and just plain rude. Same driver the next evening did the same thing again, my mother being a diamond member we didn't think we would need our room guest recipt. No problem getting dropped off but they won't take you back to your own hotel! The shuttle was also very slow, long waits.

You would think a nice big resort would have better security. The hotel does have some problems but overall it wasn't bad. Our next trip to AC we will try a different total rewards property.
ADVICE: Don't leave money in your room, but don't carry it on you. Figure that one out!!

“Harrah's Resort, Fair at best”

Harrah's Resort Atlantic City

2 of 5 stars
Pennsylvania

We stayed at Harrah's resort for one evening after seeing a show at the Borgata. I was tempted to stay at the Borgata, but the cost of a room was double that of Harrah's so we gave it a try. We used the self parking garage which was fine but a rather signicant walk from the garage to the front desk reception area. Maybe a 12 minute walk. Reception was unremarkable, the woman that was working was courteous and check it was quick. What struck me as being a negative was having to walk past areas of the casino where smoking was allowed. I personally do not like smelling or breathing smoke and it is essentially permeating everything on the main floor of the casino. I assume this is a business decision that the hotel makes and clearly a lot of folks come here becaue they indeed can smoke if they wish. Our room was very standard, however, there was some black mold around the grout in the bathroom and the bathroom drain was clogged and all the water from our morning showers just sat in the tub. We did inform the front desk of this, and they indicated they would take care of it, however, it was not rectified while we were there. We did not have any meals at the hotel. In retrospect I probably would not return simply for the smoking issue.
