Absolutely fabulous holiday, loved every minute. Went with a friend and we were looked after from the minute we arrived. Cases are taken to the rooms which are very large with tv (never watched), mini fridge, hairdryer, two very spacious wardrobes with hangers, spacious bathroom. The hotel complex is spotless - they wash the pavements daily! Pools absolutely gorgeous, sunbeds have very comfy matresses. The food is great all fresh at every meal time and something to suit everyone, if you dont fancy eating in the restaurant there is an outside bbq every night at one of the pool bars. Lunch times at the pool bar fresh pizzas are made while you wait. Most of all the staff are so friendly and happy and can't do enough for you. Naama bay was a lot bigger than expected and such a mix of new and old, very cheap to eat and drink out. We went on the Bedoin night organised by the hotel staff-an experience not to be missed, mad, crazy from beginning to end! The drive into the desert was certainly an experience with our mad bus driver, a camel ride, bedoin dancer and belly dancers, lovely bbq and again such attentive staff couldnt fault it. We will certainly be returning next year, one of the best holidays i have had and just regret not booking two weeks instead of one!

Stayed at The Sonesta May 5th to 12th. Couple 40 - 55 with a 5 year old. Couldnt fault much. Beautiful grounds and lots for children re water slides etc, all really safe and new.
Food ok, got used to the different things. In fact its very healthy, my five year old doesnt like chips and rubbish so it was great. Lots of salad and nice fish, meat etc. We were fine and ate everything.
Rooms great, clean and staff were lovely. Yes the Russian people were a bit rude at times but so were some english to the bar staff.

If youve booked , look forward to it, its lovely. Been all over, stayed in lots of different places abroad , this was no way inferior to other 4 stars.

I arrived back from Sharm yesterday having spent the last week diving in the Red Sea. Two of us went and between us we have visited various places on the Red sea to dive and have totalled almost 25 trips between us.

I have to say this is one of the worst places i have ever stayed in.
We knew we where not going to get 5 star service having only paid £150 each for 7 nights all inclusive, and spending all day out on the dive boats staying in a hotel with top service wasn't our concern.
We would have been happy with average.
Firstly the positives, The room was large and fairly basic but was spotless. Sorry did i say positives?

Now the negatives, The food was OK for the first night, it was bearable for the second but by the time we got to the third we just had to get out of the place and eat somewhere else.
Sharm as some fabulous restaurants and the are still relatively cheap so i would recommend not to go all inclusive but just B&B, BUT NOT HERE.

The bar was a disgrace, All inclusive drinks where only available from the pool side bar, they where served in tiny warm plastic glasses, three of them would barely make a pint. the staff where rude to the extreme, This was fueled by the attitude of the Russian guest who overall where the most unpleasant bunch of people i have ever come across. getting back to the bar, you had to queue for drinks, Not to bad you may think, But when there are twenty people in it and it's 97 degrees Russians are pushing in left right and centre, it drives you bloody mad.
If you wanted a quiet drink in the evening forget it.
If your idea of fun is MR SONESTA CLUB 2008 THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. OR HOW ABOUT BEST COUPLE, NEED I GO ON??

Getting back to the staff, My friends room had no electricity two successive evenings for nearly two hours, Trying to get it sorted was like getting blood out of a stone.

I'm going to stop now because I'm winding my self up but would finish by saying this.
If you are planning a trip to Sharm don't go to the Sonesta club. Don't even go all inclusive, Like i said there are lots of restaurants and bars just make use of them instead, That's unless you like to eat pigs swill by the bucket load and surround yourself with a dozen plastic glasses of warm beer just to make sure your getting your moneys worth.

Sorry if you are about to go to this place, This is the first time i have done this and hopefully it's the last. You never know, There might be two Sonesta clubs and we just happened to pick the wrong one.

brilliant hotel,one of the best we have ever stayed in.the staff were verry friendly and were forever cleaning the place.3 large pools incl 1 for 3 high water slides same as u get in an aquapark(keeps the kids happy) small pools for younger kids. lovely gardens tendered and watered daily
entertainment - dancers in the dining hall as we were eating our evening meals-same thing most nights for 14 nights so not very good - then mini kids disco outside ,that was it .it was nice to sit outside by the pool at night and chill out though and we went to naam bay a few times - go to the old town further down the roadfrom naam bay = cheeper and you dont get hassled like u do in naam.boat trips-we booked with med hollidays cost of trip £30 thomson £35 olympic £20 for the same trip so we went with olympic-no problem at all and the trips are well worth doing.huge sellection of food on offer to please even the most fussy eaters-excelent but as with all hotela after a few days u will want to go out for a change A+++++++ u will certainly enjoy this hotel
