stayed at tropitel for 2 weeks hotel clean staff very helpful/ friendly weather was very hot didnt do any trips just chilled pool ok but no snacks unless u paid we were ai u could use other pools on top of hotel we didnt because my husband had motorbike accident 3 days before we went! he wasnt very mobile 1st week had tummy bug pretty bad with no warning all 4 of us had it at different times local chemists were good just 2 mins away needed antibiotics/diarrohea tablets £7.50 stomach cramps really bad ok after 24 hours didnt like pressure selling by shops trying to get you inside found quite intimidating/
scary so avoided as much as possibe were told by other guests if you uncomfortable with a situ with them tell you going for tourist policethey soon back off tourist police on all hotel doors and in street this hotel was best location very central buddha next door also mexican hard rock cafe opposite not alot of english people in our hotel tipping couple pounds every few days got all beds at pool every day room cleaners try it on by leaving t rolls or towels out of room so they bring at your request and want tip! we tipped maybe 4 times in 2 weeks that was enough and they were ok only male workers in hotel talking to others guests we paid more booking at travel agents they booked through internet or teletext and got approx £200 cheaper than us overall good hol suits all age groups bit too hot for us enjoy your hols ours just memory now!

This hotel is no way near as bad as some of the reviews make out. In fact in general I was pleasently suprised. Having stayed in other 5* all inc hotels in Africa, this one rated well, it isn't what you would expect from a 5* in the UK or USA but its still good.

The location in fantastic, rooms are large & clean. The pools are also great although there is a bit of a walk to get to them if you are in the main part of the hotel.

The one downside was the food, although each night was themed, the food was often the same so it got a bit boring after a few days (Apart from the far east night which was lovely). The main problem with the food was that it was so bland, however I think this may just be a Naama Bay problem as we ate out a few times & everything we ate had very little flavour (even the Thai & Mexican)

The staff were very friendly & we found that we didn't get too much hassel in the streets, one 'no' and they would leave you alone.

My friends and I have just returned from our week long stay in Tropitel Naama Bay and would like to say that I had the best time mainly because of the hotel and its staff.

Positives -
Great staff in particular Hassan - Receptionist, Ashraf and Ahmed the pool attendants and Ali the cool security guard who all no matter what went out there way to ensure we had the best time and all are needs and queries were catered for.
Excellent location. Tropitel no matter what anyone says is probably the nicest and best located hotel in Naama Bay. Literally a stone throw away from Hard Rock and Little Buddha as well as Pacha and the shisha places.
All staff at the hotel always had a smile and went out there way to keep us happy. A little gratitude from us was greeted and embraced with so much warmth and exchanged with a wealth of courteously. They seriously at times mad our time. It was really nice to walk in from our travels or nights out have staff greet you with your first name and genuianly be interested about your night out.
Negatives – food wasn’t great. Not much of a choice for my veggi friend and put it simple our belly’s were tip top in the end. That’s all really.

All in all I’m extremely surprised when I read some negative comments about this hotel as from our point of view we had an incredible time staying here. It certainly credits its 5* rating and would recommend this over all others in Naama Bay as some looked and were extremely tacky.

I've just came back from my visit from tropitel last night and I must say the hotel was very good. After reading some of the reviews on this site I was very worried that I'd booked the wrong place. However, once I arrived the experience from day one way excellent. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful (a small tip around 10 Egyptian pounds goes a long way). We made good friends with the pool guys so we always had loungers in the premium positions whatever time of day. One tip of of advice, treat the people at the hotel as you would expect to be treated and they'll go above and beyond to ensure you fully enjoy your time at the hotel. If you're looking for a central location, tropitel is the place. Very close to the main evening hot spots (Pacha, Hard Rock, Panorama, Little Buddha shisha cafes and restaurants). Also the beach is five minute walk from the hotel (however the beaches in sharks bay are little quieter and more relaxed).

The only negative I'd like to point out is the food. Although there was a good selection, we experienced a few tummy problems (without going into too much detail!!). But Sharm has a wide range of restaurants so don't restrict yourself just to the hotel restaurants. Also, I wouldn't give the hotel a 5 star rating compared to European standards more along the lines of 3/4*.

All in all fantastic really enjoyed the experience and I would the hotel to everyone.
