Stayed here for two nights for a conference. This hotel was the site of the conference so I had little choice but this was okay.
I requested a room on the Club level and despite a rather snooty check-in agent who told me that this was a request and could not be guaranteed (despite Starwood membership), I did get a room on the 47th floor.
The room was very nice with great toiletries in the bathroom by Bliss. Plenty of hot water with great pressure. Free water and a nice robe on the Club floor too.
The Club lounge was great with amazing views of the city and the river. The staff in the lounge could not have been nicer. They put out wonderful cookies in the evening and one of the ladies went out of her way to find me a cookie to have for breakfast the next morning as I had to leave the hotel at 4.30 am for an early flight.
I had breakfast in the Club lounge on my first morning and it was generous with great pastries. The evening hors de ouvres were also generous.
Outside of the snooty check-in person all other staff were exceptionally friendly. I was greeted by any and all staff that I passed in the hallways or elevators.
New Orleans still has a way to go to recover - go and visit and spend some money in this wonderful city
